Rafaella is a bi-lingual (Spanish & English) lifelong New Yorker who graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Arts in 2013. She majored in English and has a minor in business. During her junior year Rafaella worked as an intern with a professor who specialized in technology and implementing curriculum development services internationally. In support of her class “Teaching and learning with Technology” Rafaella began researching ways to extend the use of Moodle—a virtual learning platform–in order to create a virtual learning environment rather than allowing it to be used as a posting site. She learned how to create video tutorials for professors and students. These tutorials were later presented to female ambassadors for the United Nations. Through her experiences, Rafaella has learned the importance of effective communications and the power of social media. She has successfully contributed to the launching of Futures Today’s website and handles administrative and operational tasks.
